THE COMPANY

A young and dynamic UK based division of a well-established and growing global business with European Headquarters situated in Corby, requires an experienced Product Manager to join our team on a permanent contract.

THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the launch of new products.  Work directly with US and Chinese engineers to coordinate the launch of all EMEA products.
Management of Middle East, Africa, and European Product Ranges.  
Support sales team on new product requests, pricing, test reports and specifications.
Working directly with marketing team to produce spec sheets, web site data, sell sheets and lamp images.
Work with Quality & Compliance Manager to ensure all products meet current legislation requirements.
Working closely with Inventory and Planning Manager on range specifics and phasing in and out of products.
Advisory service to supply chain on packaging options for domestic customers.
Data management: Set-up, organising and management of product data information utilising Navision system and offline documentation.
Quality Issue Resolution: Solution Champion for sales/customers to liaise with factory on product quality issues.
Artwork Production: Project leader for the production of packaging artwork, implementation and launch directly with China manufacturing plants.
Product Market Research: Identifying market trends, documenting specification including pricing and proposing new products, and their fit within market position.
Creation of European Roadmap: Identify projected product development ventures.
Sales Support: Product set up, tender documents, samples, customer quality approval, offer advice on product ranging.

ESSENTIAL

Min 2-5 years lighting experience within a large scale manufacturing background would be advantageous
Degree in a technical discipline an advantage
Proficient and thorough understanding of market development
Able to communicate at all levels, specifically with key customers.
Proficient Microsoft Office skills e.g.; Outlook, Word, Excel and Power point.
Thrives in a fast paced environment.
Light travel to China is required.
Can work with and manage Chinese suppliers.

Experience with sourcing, product development and data management.

A strong emphasis on planning and ON TIME delivery.
